Bid Opening: August 25, 2020 at 11 A.M. Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received by the Parking
Authority of the City of Elizabeth on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at 11:00 AM,
prevailing time at the Elizabeth Parking Authority Office, located at 233
Commerce Place, Elizabeth, NJ, 07201, at which time and place bids will be
publicly opened and immediately read.
All bids must be submitted to the Parking
Authority of the City of Elizabeth in a sealed envelope marked “SEALED BID” and as stated in the BID PROCESS REQUIREMENTS (page 3) on
the front of the envelope/package.
Bidding Documents may be examined online by visiting
www.usaplanroom.com. A link will direct
you to USA Architects’ “Planroom System”, where the documents may be
viewed. Click on “Public Jobs” and look
for 2019-086. Bid Documents may be
purchased or ordered for pick-up online for the non-refundable fee of $225.00
for each paper set or $40.00 for each digital set. The Online system will accept payment by
major credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, American Express), or COD for
pick-up. Documents may be sent prepaid
through Federal Express or UPS. Bid
Documents will be made available after 2:00 P.M. on July 27, 2020.

Request For Bid (RFB), in writing, referencing the Elizabeth Parking Authority

Questions will be accepted up until close of business August 11, 2020. Questions
received later than August 11, 2020 cannot be answered. All addenda shall
comply with NJSA 40A:11-23The Parking Authority of the
City of Elizabeth reserves the right to
reject any or all bids in whole or in part; to waive anyformalities or irregularities in any bids, and to
accept the bids, which in its discretion, within State law, are for the
best interest of the Parking Authority of
the City of Elizabeth. Bids will be opened and publicly read immediately
following the deadline.

A Pre-Bid Conference for the purpose of reviewing the
Project Scope and any possible clarifications on the intent of the Contract
Documents will be held at the project site, 17 Caldwell Place, Elizabeth, NJ at
11:00 a.m.,; local time, on Tuesday August 4, 2020.Although not mandatory, the renovations are
extensive, and Contractors are STRONGLY encouraged to attend the Pre-Bidin order to become familiar with the entire
project scope. Change requests due to a contractor’s unfamiliarity with the
complete scope will not be entertained. All

filling out a questionnaire and wearing face coverings.
